    Introducing Contentteller Lite

A new lightweight Contentteller distribution dubbed lite is now available as community, professional, and business editions. This distribution includes only the core modules, the content module, and the news module.

Not everyone needs all installed Contentteller modules. In fact many users are looking either for a solution to add/edit/remove pages over for a web interface or a news/blog solution, so I decided to release a version that fit this purpose.

Contentteller Professional Edition Lite and Contentteller Business Edition Lite are available over the members area, and Contentteller Community Edition Lite over the Google Code website.

Would it be possible to install the modules from the full sized package, if i'm missing them in the future?

btw. good idea with the lightweight version, i think, this should be the right way. Maybe an entry on pages like opensourcecms.com would increase popularity.

Yes, because both versions are using the same framework.

To install a module form the full package: Copy both cadmin/module-name and modules/module-name directories (replace module-name with the name of the module, for example links) to your Contentteller Lite installation and then select install new module in the module menu. That's it :)

You can also easily remove modules from a full package install by selecting manage module => module name => delete. Then you only need to remove cadmin/module-name and modules/module-name to completely uninstall the module.

I am aware of OpenSourceCMS but they will only demo stable releases and not release candidates according to How to submit a project.

I've installed contentteller lite, since Dreamweaver is slower than a snail when uploading a site with lots of files, and I tried to install the knowledgebase module (cadmin and modules) but even though I can access it in the cadmin section and edit entries and all, trying to search the knowledgebase or to access it when not logged in into cadmin doesn't do anything. I've been using you solution here, http://community.contentteller.com/f5/31_search_where.html
but it doesn't seem to work.

Is the module enabled? Under Knowledgebase Preferences => Knowledgebase module active => Yes

Thanks; there is a bug in the module installer.

Basically, you are using a different template set name then "Default" and the module installer created a new template set "Default" with the knowledgebase templates in it, instead of adding them to your existing template set.
