Can't get Facebook application ID I've tried for almost a week now, but Facebook will not give me an application ID. After typing the site name and URL, and the captcha, it will try and do whatever it is it does and after waiting for like a minute, I get the message "Sorry, an error has occurred. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. Go Back Facebook © 2009 " Is it expecting a dynamic URL?
Have you verified your Facebook account? This is now a requirement for new Facebook applications. I used the regular site url (e.g. http://domain) for my test application.
How do I do that? I can't request an application id without being logged in to my FB account. Is there anything else I need to do?

First of all they're a bunch of idiots, since their message doesn't mention anything about this and is totally misleading, making you think your registration failed due to a technical error on FB's side. And second of all, my god, what a scam. I already signed up for a trial of IMDB Pro, and even though they said they wouldn't charge me after the trial month which was supposed to be free anyway, after that they automatically subscribed me and I've been silently charged for three months or so in a row, without me being aware until yesterday. You'd think that a serious company that's owned by Amazon wouldn't stoop to such tactics which are better left to porn sites. What the hell does FB need a credit card number for? Twitter can do fine without my phone number, and my CC number...
Well to cut a long story short, I finally got it working (at least I hope so, since I can login using my Facebook id). Apparently, despite the error message, my attempts to register an application with Facebook all got through and the same application got registered multiple times. Log in with your real Facebook user account and hit Anmelden | Facebook - if you can see this page, then your account is verified and you can create new Facebook applications. If I go to Anmelden | Facebook or Anmelden | Facebook it just forwards into my facebook home page. My apps still work (building iPhone facebook integration) but I can no longer find where my apps are listed so I can see my session and private keys. How do I get to them ? Am I missing something obvious ? thanks.EDIT : Oops I was logged into my developer facebook account.
